Initial Requirements
- Valid Passport
- Teaching License Certificate (PRC)
- Graduate of bachelor’s degree or equivalent to a four-year degree in the USA
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- Proficient in the English language both spoken and written
Documents to prepare
- Resume
- Passport copy including prior visas to the US
- Three (3) reference letters within the last 12 months
- Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE) – TOR and other credentials
- College or Grade School Diploma or Certificate of Completion
- PRC teaching License ID
- Verification of Employment (VOE)
- Certification that you are currently teaching for at least 2 years (for J1 visa)
- Cultural Activity participation letter from home school (for J1 visa)
- Cultural Activity 1 and 2 (for J1 visa)
- Medical Certificate (for H-1B)
- NBI Clearance
- Some sponsors require a current bank statement that shows at least $1000 – $5000 in emergency funds
